Before you apply for the grant

Spend less time in preparing your grant application and be more effective in collecting the data to use as well as writing it up.

  1. Make sure to speak to the MERI Research Grants support staff to get grant support
  2. Your direct supervisor for peer support with the preparation of your grant application
  3. Visit the UOM Research Grants website to establish any rules for the grant scheme you are considering up-front
  4. Also, make a point of viewing some of the successful previous grants in the University of Melbourne Research Grants library
  5. You are also welcomed to contact Fransie Naude for support with building a case for the Research Opportunity and Performance Evidence (ROPE) section of the grant template.
