Opening hours for our libraries and Library Chat have been adjusted over the Easter holidays. Please check our library opening hours page before you visit.
To find books on a particular subject, use a keyword search on the library catalogue. For example:
films
law
Australia
You can narrow or broaden your search by using a variety of search strategies such as adding more words, using Truncation or Nesting - for example:
(film* or “motion pictures”) and (law or legislation) and Australia*
Browse through the records retrieved and look at the hyperlinked subject descriptions that come with each catalogue record, e.g.
Copyright – Motion Pictures – Australia
Motion Picture Industry – Law and Legislation -- Australia
You can then click on a subject description to find more material on the same subject.
Don't forget that you can have books sent from other branch libraries to your campus
Use the site or domain limiter in Google Advanced Search to quickly find information on websites for example:
Limit search results to only show results from Screen Australia by including site:screenaustralia.gov.au or the Australian Copyright Council using site:copyright.org.au in your search.
