Primary Sources

The Louise Hanson-Dyer Music Library holds manuscript scores, many by Australian composers including Margaret Sutherland, Richard Mills and Dorian le Gallienne. A call number search entering MS with the first four letters of the composer's surname will find manuscript works held by the library.

There are eight volumes of press clippings relating to music performance in Melbourne 1928-1947. Clippings cover music and concert life in Melbourne, with particularly detailed coverage of Conservatorium of Music activities
