Many resources have been recommended by teachers and all have been quality assured.
The English as an Additional Language (EAL) Companion to AusVELS provides a framework for assessing student achievement and developing effective learning programs for the many students in Victorian schools who are learning English as an additional language.
he Languages (formerly called LOTE) domain is organised into two pathways, the first consisting of eleven levels (F-10) and the second of four levels (7-10). Each level includes a learning focus statement and, from Level 6 onwards, a set of standards organised by dimension.
The Languages domain in AusVELS uses an eleven level structure to both reflect the design of the new Australian Curriculum and to provide a consistent structure across all the AusVELS domains (for more details, please see the Overview).
The ICDL is committed to creating a digital library of outstanding children's books from all over the world. The collection includes 3932 books in 54 languages. Many titles are available in multiple languages which makes them a useful ESL teaching resource.
