The Victorian Curriculum F–10 incorporates the Australian Curriculum and reflects Victorian priorities and standards. In Levels 9 and 10, students apply systems thinking skills when considering how human interaction with networked systems introduces complexities surrounding access to, and the security and privacy of, data of various types. They interrogate security practices and techniques used to compress data, and learn about the importance of separating content, presentation and behavioural elements for data integrity and maintenance purposes.
AusVELS provides a single curriculum for levels F-10 that incorporates the Australian Curriculum as it is progressively developed within a framework that reflects particular Victorian priorities and approaches to teaching and learning.
VELS is no longer the current curriculum in use. For comparative purposes this site provides access to the former Curriculum Standards document which outlines Standards for Levels 1 - 6.
