Finance

This guide will help you find quality resources for your finance studies and research.

Textbooks

Find the recommended textbooks for your subject in the Subject Reading Lists (search by subject name or code).

These books are available for overnight loan and/or two hour loan and are located in the High Use Collection on the Ground Floor of the Giblin Eunson Library.

Searching on your topic

To find books on your topic, use a keyword search in the Library Catalogue e.g. "derivative securities"

To narrow a search, add more keywords e.g. "financial institutions" and management

To increase the number of search results, use synomyns in a search e.g. banks or "financial institutions"

The asterisk symbol * finds alternate word endings e.g. bank* finds bank, banks, banking

Example search: (banks or financial institutions) and "corporate governance"

Can't find the book you need?

If the book you need is out on loan, or is not held at the University of Melbourne, you can easily request it online from another BONUS+ library, then collect it a few days later from the pick-up location of your choice.

Graduate students and staff can request books and other material via Interlibrary Loans.

You can also get a CAVAL card from the Library to borrow from other university libraries in Victoria.
