Statistical and Mathematical Software

Information on where and how to access statistical and mathematical software.


MATLAB, which stands for MATrix LABoratory, is an interactive mathematical software program for numerical computation and data visualisation. MATLAB works with programs in other languages including C, C++, C#, Java, Fortran and Python. It is used extensively in academia and industry, primarily in the disciplines of engineering, science and mathematical economics. 


Access MATLAB on Campus

MATLAB is included in the university's site license program. It is installed on Library and StudentIT lab computers and may be available in some Faculty and Graduate School labs.

Obtain MATLAB Software

Staff and students may install the program from the Mathworks website

Staff may download MATLAB on all university-owned devices from the Software Centre (Windows) or via Self Service (Mac)
