Children with Disability Australia (CDA) is the national peak body which represents children and young people (aged 0-25) with disability. CDA is a not for profit, community organisation that was officially incorporated as a company limited by guarantee in November 2009. CDA also receives additional project funding from Department of Education to expand the education policy capacity of the organisation.

Deaf Australia was founded in 1986 by a group of Deaf people who felt that more could be achieved by working together as one large group rather than as many smaller groups or in association with organisations not controlled by Deaf people.

DCA’s purpose is to remove barriers to the personal development and social inclusion faced by children and young people who are deaf or hard of hearing. We achieve this through direct service delivery, advocacy, and partnerships across the deaf sector, supporting research and piloting new initiatives.

Deaf Education Network, (the education department of The Deaf Society of New South Wales), provides a range of adult education programs for people who are deaf or hard of hearing, plus Auslan sign language classes and Deaf Awareness workshops for the wider community.

Over the past 100 years, the Deaf Society of New South Wales has been the leading provider of specialist services for Deaf and hard of hearing people and their families in New South Wales as well as deaf people with additional needs.

DEAFNESS FORUM OF AUSTRALIA represents all interests and viewpoints of the one in six Australians who are Hearing Impaired, Deaf or deafblind, have a chronic ear or balance disorder and their families. It provides balanced and realistic advice to the Australian Government and the Opposition to inform public policy and build a fairer and more inclusive nation for the people we represent.
