Introduction to Legal Research

This guide is an introduction to legal research at the University of Melbourne. This guide is intended for law students in the JD, MLM , Breadth programs who are new to legal research. Students in other disciplines who may need to conduct legal research

Law Reform Publications 

Law reform publications examine an area of law, citing the history and development of the law with reference to key authorities.  

The Australasian Law Reform Library on AustLII has law reform commission materials for most Australian jurisdictions (except South Australia) and New Zealand.
