Researching Australian Historic News?

The National Library of Australia's Digitised newspapers and more is one of the best resources for finding historical Australian news. Coverage varies, so it is important to check available dates.

Trove includes almost every major Australian newspaper (only limited content for The Age). You can limit your search by title, state or date range.

Coverage of The Age (1854–2000) and the Sydney Morning Herald (1831–2000) is available through the Australian Newspapers Collection (1831-2000).
