Readings Online User Guide

Adding Links to Websites

You can include links to websites in Readings Online. There are no copyright restrictions on linking to material available via websites so long as the website is legitimate.   For more information see Identifying Legitimate Content .  If content is downloaded from the website then copyright restrictions will apply.  It is recommended that you link rather than downloading where possible.

Avoid linking to websites that are only available to some users.  For example, major newspapers such as The Age or The New York Times permit users to access a limited number of free articles each month before imposing a subscriber only paywall.  As a result, not all students may be able to access the website.
