Getting started with other types of materials

When uploading content to Readings Online, there are three main types of material:

  • journals
  • books
  • websites

Within journal and book readings there are also several “genres” to suit different types of material. Selecting the right type of reading is important as it helps to generate a correct citation and manage copyright compliance.

This section covers how the different genres within journal and book readings should be used as well as how to handle types of material not standard to the three main types; for example, films, music and sound recordings.
