Finding books

Use the catalogue to find books. Search using title, keyword, author or subject.

As you search use the information contained in the catalogue fields to determine if something is of interest. The fields Author, Call Number, and Subject are hyperlinked to enable you to move quickly around the catalogue to look for related information

Call Numbers: use the hyperlinked Call Number in the catalogue to find material on the same subject in any of the University libraries.

Subject headings: provide the major subject of the book, and sub-category if applicable. There may be up to four subject headings assigned to a single book. The first subject heading listed at the top of the catalogue entry is the dominant subject.

Requesting resources from other campuses

There are Libraries on most campuses of the University as well as an off-site Store.

When you use the catalog, you can request books and articles across the various locations.

If the item Location is at another campus (not the campus you are on), you can use the Request Button to have the book sent to a library on your campus.  If you are after an article from a journal held at another campus, you can request that a copy of the article be sent to you.
