Google search trends compares what has been searched on Google over time. It also shows how frequently topics have appeared in Google News stories, and in which geographic regions people have searched for them most.

Google Alerts

Email updates of the latest relevant Google results (web, news, etc.) based on your search terms. Useful for keeping up on items of interest.

 

Google Groups

Google Groups is a service that provides easy accesss to discussion groups for people sharing common interests. The Groups service also provides a gateway to various Usenet newsgroups via a shared search screen. Search across bulletin boards, forums, etc.

 

Google Public Data

The Google Public Data Explorer makes large, public-interest datasets easy to explore, visualize and communicate. It provides public data and forecasts from a range of international organizations and academic institutions. Sources include the World Bank, OECD, Eurostat and the University of Denver.

These can be displayed as line graphs, bar graphs, cross sectional plots or on maps
