Use the Library Catalogue to find resources, including ebooks, on a particular topic - you can search by either keyword or subject.
Searching by keyword:
- Select Keyword from the left-hand drop-down menu

- If searching for a particular phrase, put it in quotation marks (" "): eg "entrepreneurial finance"
- To narrow a search, add more key terms: eg "small business" and entrepreneurship
- To increase the number of search results, use synonyms: eg ("entrepreneurial finance" or "equity crowdfunding" or investments) and "small business"
- The asterisk symbol (*) finds alternate word endings: eg entrepreneur* will search for entrepreneur, entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial, entrepreneurship, etc.
Searching by subject:
- The catalogue has a classification system, where a number of terms (or 'subjects') are chosen to describe the content of an item
- If you perform a subject search in the catalogue, then you will get a list of all items that belong to that subject
- Select Subject from the left-hand drop-down menu

- Enter a search term in the search box to see if there is a relevant subject term for it
- You will find a list of suggested subject terms - click on one to access the list of items for that subject
