Borrowing

You can borrow books from any library on campus with your student or staff card. If we do not have the item you need, you may be able to borrow it from another library via one of our borrowing schemes.

Self-service machines for borrowing or renewing your items are located within the libraries.

Before you go to find your book on the shelf, check the library catalogue to ensure:

  • Your book is available (check the status)
  • You have the correct location (there are 11 branches)
  • You have the full call number (including all the numbers and letters)

Digital collection

Students can access ebooks, online journals, legal commentary, case law and legislation via a range of sources.

The database lists by subject and type on the Law Library website will help you determine where to go to find many resources relevant to your subject. You can also look up a database or publication on the catalogue via its title.

Refer to the Where to Search and How to Search sections of this guide for further information on how to access digital resources.
