There are a number of different publishing models that you can choose from. Each model has its own advantages and disadvantages and the will vary depending on your discipline and the type of research.

This resource is useful to facilitate sharing the data associated with your research. It should not be used to share your research paper. The Institutional Repository (Minerva Access) is best for that purpose.

Find advice, support and information relating to starting new research contracts and ongoing research contract management. The Research, Innovation and Commercialisation (RIC) Contracts team, in cooperation with Legal Services, reviews and negotiates all research and research-related agreements on behalf of the University.

Authors and publishers will generally have a publishing agreement (sometimes referred to as an author or licence agreement) in place when a work is published.

University staff wanting to make research publications available from Minerva Access must deposit via Minerva Elements. Manage your research outputs with Minerva Elements - the University of Melbourne's publications collection and management system. It is the tool for the collection of and reporting of data on all research publications published by the University, and the method by which certain publications are made publicly available in Minerva Access, the publications repository.
