Secondary Resources for Law

A guide to help you locate and use secondary sources for Australian legal research.

General Reference Sources

Books and chapters from a book may provide authoritative, scholarly and comprehensive treatment of topics, including references to relevant cases, legislation, and other books and articles. The best place to locate books on Australian legal topics is by searching in the Library Catalogue.

Locating eBooks

There are two ways you can locate law eBooks:

1. Search the Library Catalogue

2. Search in an eBook platform. A list of eBook platforms can be located on the Library Research Databases - by Type page (under eBooks)
