Collection updates

Update on the Eastern Resource Centre (10/8/2020)

Over the past three years, concept design work and site preparation to develop a world-class student precinct has been in progress in the south east corner of the Parkville campus – the New Student Precinct project. 2020 marks the beginning of the next and more intensive phase of this project.

From 28 June 2020 until end September 2021 Eastern Resource Centre will be inaccessible to all staff and students due to redevelopment as part of the New Student Precinct project.  Work has begun to identify and relocate ERC collections to off-site storage.  These items will still be findable and requestable via the Library Catalogue. For more information on how to request items please visit our updates and advice for students webpage.

Essential resources for students during this period will be located in other libraries on Parkville campus.  All other ERC resources will be located in off-site storage and accessible via online request form to all staff and students.

For further information on the NSP project, please see the new student precinct webpage

Alternatively, use the online UniApps version from any computer operating system. Remember to save your work out of MyUniApps as it deletes everything on logging out.

Web mapping APIs created by commercial software companies have become very popular. In this context, "proprietary" means that the API's source code cannot be downloaded and/or is not permitted to be modified and/or cannot be deployed without paying a royalty.
