Tips for finding journals

1. Journals can be located in Discovery using the A-Z journal list. You can search for an exact journal title or for keywords. 
2. Alternatively enter the Journal Title you are looking for in the Library Catalogue
3. A selected list of Humanities Education journals are held in the Periodicals Collection on the ground floor of the Giblin Eunson library.  The print journal collection is shelved in alphabetical order.  Journal titles that start with an abbreviation (e.g. ALT-J: Association for Learning Technology Journal) are shelved at the beginning of the first letter in the title.
4. Most journals are available electronically.

Practitioner or professional titles are aimed at supporting teachers who are working in schools.

Scholarly Journals

• Contain articles written by and addressed to experts in a discipline.
• Report original research or experimentation.
• Cite their sources in footnotes or bibliographies.

Peer-reviewed (or refereed) journals

• Only publish articles that have passed through a review process, and have been approved by scholars or experts.
• Many databases provided the option to limit your search results to peer-reviewed titles
