The Cite a Blakfella Zotero group library #citeablakfella is a growing bibliography of papers written by Indigenous Australian educational researchers, developed by Prof. Melitta Hogarth (Associate Dean, Indigenous) at the Faculty of Education, University of Melbourne to amplify the perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers in all areas of Indigenous educational research. To qualify for inclusion, papers must be authored by one or more Indigenous Australian researchers.
To access and read journal articles, we suggest you install the Lean Library browser plugin. This group is administered by the Education Library team Educ-librarians@unimelb.edu.au. Please contact us if you have a question or to suggest additions.
1. If you don't want to join the Zotero group, you can go to the Cite a Blakfella Zotero group library webpage and use the search box to find papers on a topic using keywords.
2. You can join the Cite a Blakfella Zotero group to access the items in the group library via Zotero and use them in your writing.
a) In preparation for joining the group, you need to create a free Zotero account and set up syncing with your desktop library – see our Sync, share and export instructions page for these steps.
b) Next, login to your online account and go to Cite a Blakfella Zotero group and select the join button (this group has open membership settings, so you automatically gain access).
c) Navigate back to the desktop version of Zotero. As soon as your library has synced, you will see the Cite a Blakfella group library listed on the left of the interface, under any personal collections (folders) in your local desktop library – more information
3. The integrated view of the Library (below) can be navigated using the sort option, but isn't fully searchable (using CTRL-F finds words in titles but not abstracts).
