This guide will assist researchers in the STEMM disciplines to find bibliometrics to demonstrate the impact of their research outputs.

Example Statement

I have been active in recent years and those publications have been well received. I have a h5-index (2012-2016) of 6 (Source: SciVal)

The h5-index uses a 5-year publication and citation window on the standard h-index calculation and can be used to fairly track the metric over time

1. Go to SciVal

2. Go to Explore

3. Click the Entity List Button

4. Select the Researchers and Groups option

5. Select your name from the list*

6. The Summary Panel will list metrics including h5-Index

 

*If you have yet to Define a new researcher follow these steps

1. Go to  Explore

2. Select the Entity List Button

3. Select the Researchers and Groups option

4. From the bottom of this panel select +Create/Import

5. Select Define a new Researcher

6. Enter Last Name / First Name and then Search

7. From the results, select the required Researcher and then click Directly go to Save Researcher
