Nova Scotia - Legislation, Bills, Hansard & Gazettes

The Nova Scotia Statutes are available on the House of Assembly Office of the Legislative Counsel website. The electronic versions on the website have been deemed official since 2003. There are links on this web page to detailed information about the Legislative Process and information about the Official versions of Statutes. The Statutes available on the website include:

  • all 10 Revised Statutes (1851, 1859, 1864, 1873, 1884, 1900, 1923, 1954, 1967 and 1989)
  • Annual statutes 
  • consolidations 
  • historical statutes (Statutes at Large 1758-1835).

.The Department of Justice Registry of Regulations website includes:

  • Regulations
  • The Royal Gazette - the online version is unofficial. The official version is in print only. 
    • Part I - the Province's official weekly government record of proclamations and other statutory notices.
    • Part II - includes publication of all regulations filed with the Registry of Regulations.
