Keeping Up to Date in Law

Explore your options for setting up and managing alerts for case law, legislation and other legal scholarship

What is in this Guide?

This guide contains a selection of alert services in law in selected jurisdictions. It is not a comprehensive list of all legal alert services available.

Not every subscription or free database offers the full range of alert options. If you are having trouble setting up the alerts you need, please contact for further assistance.

Why use Alert Services?

Alert services allow you to stay up to date in your area of research, so that you are notified of new books, journal articles, judicial decisions and legislative developments on your topic.

The main options for receiving alert updates are by email, or via RSS feeds. Email alerts often contain short summaries of the article, decision etc. as well as a link to the full text.
