Keeping Up to Date in Law

Explore your options for setting up and managing alerts for case law, legislation and other legal scholarship

Introduction

This part of the guide provides tips on setting up alerts on judicial and tribunal decisions. Use the dropdown menu in this tab to link to various jurisdictions. We have included only a few commonly researched jurisdictions in this guide and will continue to add jurisdictions as this guide evolves. If the jurisdiction you are interested in is not included in the Guide, ask a friendly law librarian for assistance.

The type of alerts that be set up include new decisions:

  • in specific courts/tribunals (most courts and tribunals around the world provide a free alerting service)
  • on a 'saved search' or a specific topic in either a single court or jurisdiction or multiple courts and jurisdictions.
  • citing a particular case or particular legislative provision.
